If you would also like a paper copy of the study material, you can purchase the Essentials of Treasury Management, 8th Edition as a printed reference book for USD 195 directly from AFP. Please note that this book does not include the interactive learning tools available in the digital CTP Exam Prep Platform, such as quizzes, practice questions, case studies, flashcards, pretests, and post-tests.
What you will learn
During the course, we cover all core CTP exam domains, including:
• Domain 1. Maintain corporate liquidity required to meet current and future obligations in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Domain 2. Manage capital structure, manage costs of long-term capital, and quantitatively evaluate long-term capital resource investments.
• Domain 3. Manage internal and external relationships.
• Domain 4. Monitor and control corporate exposure to financial, regulatory, and operational risk (including emerging and reputational risk).
• Domain 5. Assess impact of technologies on the treasury function.
Education and experience requirements
The Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) credential has clear eligibility requirements set by the Association for Financial Professionals. They focus on education, professional experience, and ethics.
You must meet one of the following combinations:
Bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of full time professional experience in treasury, finance, accounting, banking, or cash management
Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics plus at least one year of relevant full time professional experience
No university degree plus at least five years of relevant full time professional experience
Relevant experience typically includes corporate treasury, cash and liquidity management, risk management, corporate finance, or banking roles with treasury exposure.
